Sandra is the Executive Director for the Michigan Cannabis Development Association. She is the Association’s main point of contact between the Michigan Legislature, regulatory bodies, local elected officials, and the media.
Growing up Sandra has always been interested in politics and public policy. While attending Alma College her interest was fueled by opportunities in the 2008 cycle to become politically active and engaged. Sandra has always been interested in grassroots activism. Starting during the 2009 special election and into the 2010 election cycle, Sandra was hired by the Michigan Republican Party to help organize efforts in the Mid-Michigan area.
After her success, Sandra was hired by the Michigan Senate. Serving as Chief of Staff to Senator Rick Jones, Sandra was responsible for managing not only the bills before his committees but also for his personal legislation. For the last two legislative cycles, this has included being the office with the most Public Acts.
In addition to being very politically motivated and involved, Sandra spends her time with her family, living in Eaton County with her daughter. Together they enjoy the local park and the occasional trip to the ice cream store.
